The full english breakfast has been ordered and Ian & JP meet again to take a break from diving deep into change management and discuss strategically around "Why we should talk about WHY?". Our hosts begin by reflecting by switching from physical to virtual, becoming logistical experts by moving flights and hotels constantly and reflecting on the current routines of lockdown and lets face it, their dogs are benefiting from all of the walks. They continue to discuss strategically around how value management plays an important part in setting up, running and closing transformations to ensure that the business gets what it needs from it's investment.
Ian & JP grab a pint and relax whilst explaining how change plans get created and how you design activities which will tackle the various change impacts captured before. It's important to understand that everyone's impact to change is different and therefore requires a tailored change approach to fully meet their needs. Our hosts finally catch up towards the end of the episode and getting suspenseful with Line of Duty, watching the latest Peter Jackson film and wishing they hadn't and getting back into music from Steve Vai
Ian & JP are back at the table to talk all about the blueprint of change management "The Change Frameworks". Our hosts catch-up to talk about the importance of Marvel in raising children, stealing the master chef title off your daughter, facing the biggest challenge yet "Repointing a limestone wall" and watching epic films virtually over Xbox with friends. They continue to explore the importance of setting out a framework for practically managing change within organisations and cover the various disciplines required.
We hope you've managed to find your favourite table as we kick off season 1 by introducing our overarching theme: Change...the heart of transformation. Throughout this episode Ian & JP catch-up over a pint to discuss the importance of Organisational Change Management (OCM) within transformation and also within everyday life. The hosts clarify why change was chosen as the first theme and then break down the upcoming episodes in which they will dive deeper.
The doors are open and we formally invite you into the Beer & Butterfly, so grab a drink and join us at the table. In our introduction we introduce the podcast and it's purpose and explain that Organisational Change Management (OCM) is the theme of Season 1. Ian Kingstone & Jonathan Parnaby (JP) introduce themselves as the hosts of the show so you can get to know us a little better at the start and more so as you listen through the episodes. We finish off the introduction by explaining how important feedback and engagement is to us and we are always looking for people to fill the third seat at the table, you, the audience.
