They said it couldn't be done... but we did it. A full year of shows! Tasting 52 was a mix of beers that we drank and loved this year, sprinkled in with some specialties we've been holding on to. This last show of the season was a great one and we were even joined by a friend who's living in the Netherlands, Jess! Thank you for listening to us through these 52 shows.

Tasting 51 goes out to one of the most renowned breweries in the world, Russian River Brewing Company out of Santa Rose, California. If you're big in the beer game, you know there need not be much more said. Known for their IPAs and Sours, Russian River has been brewing delicious beer since 1997.

Beer Line-up: STS Pils (Pilsner), Damnation (Golden Ale), Blind Pig (IPA), Pliney the Elder (IPA), Consecration (Ale aged in Cabernet Sauvignon Barrels with Currants added), and Shadow of a Doubt (Imperial Porter), all from Russian River Brewing Company.

You ever hold on to a beer so long you just couldn't bring yourself to open it? Whether it be because you were trying to save it for a special occasion or you thought it might have gone bad? Well that's what Tasting 50 is all about. We even tried the new Stuffed Cheez Its from Pizza Hut. Here our thoughts on that and beers we opened from 3 Floyds Brewpub, Stone Brewing, Santa Fe Brewing Company, Goose Island Beer Company, and Rowley Farmhouse Ales.

Tasting 49 concludes our Massachusetts series with a bang. Trillium Brewing Company out of Boston was one of our most anticipated shows when we heard we'd be getting some goods from The Bay State. Give it a listen and see if it lived up to our expectations.

Beer Line-up: Melcher Street (IPA), Vicinity (Double IPA), Morph (India Pale Ale), Fated Farmer Series: Red Currant (Barrel Fermented Wild Ale), Permutation 6.37 (Sour Ale with Orange Peel, Passionfruit, Guava, Vanilla, and Lactose), and Fated Farmer Series: Blueberry (Barrel Fermented Wild Ale).

Local Spotlight was the Rented Tux Vanilla Porter from Thirsty Eye. We also tried their recommended Thirsty Eye version as well, which was a combination of that porter and their cold brew.

Tasting 48 is more goodness from Massachusetts. On Evan's trip all the locals kept bringing up Night Shift Brewing, so he brought us down some. We drank their delicious offerings and Zach even tried some from a straw.

After a week off we decided it was time to treat ourselves. Tasting 47 is a special delivery from Evan! He visited Massachusetts, went down to Tree House Brewing Co. and brought back a few goodies for us. You be the judge if you think it was one of our best tastings yet!

Tasting 46 is our second Mystery Show! The first one was so fun, we knew we needed to do it again. We showcased 5 different breweries, new ones never featured and some we love. Tasting 44 features some breweries out of one of our favorite beer states, Colorado. We had our buddy Casey on this episode so we decided, it was only right to surprise him with Casey Brewing and Blending. Before we got to that we had some offerings from Oskar Blues Brewery, we had a not so great experience with the local spotlight, Matt and Zach got into an argument about the moon landing, we test out some sound effects, and we discussed fish transportation.

Episode 43? No we decided that we wanted to change it up and start calling our podcasts Tastings. Let us know if you like the change. Tasting 43 is a split show featuring two breweries out of Oregon, Deschutes Brewery and Upright Brewing. Although both of these breweries have bases in Portland, they are wildly different. Deschutes is a mass production brewery whose distribution reaches far an wide, while Upright Brewing is a small local brewery that specializes in farmhouse inspired beers rooted in France and Belgium with a Pacific Northwestern twist. Hope you enjoy the episo.. tasting, as much as we did.
