Beer prices are up and the stock market is down or whatever the song says right. This week we discuss a failed promo that copied from the great Willy Wonka (or Michael Scott depending on how old you are). David has successfully made it through half of dry January and has only drank his mouthwash twice.

We're back in the studio this week and Gary tries a blinded bourbon from David, which ends up being Northside Distilling Bust a Crust bourbon. David also tastes The Undertaker from The Phoenix Brewing Company.

Gary says he really likes the nose and the long Kentucky hug offered up by Northside Distilling's Single Barrel Bust a Crust special edition bourbon. David talks about his trip to Phoenix Brewing and how he enjoyed the former funeral home and mortuary and he brought back a few beers, including an imperial rye IPA called The Undertaker that he really enjoyed.

In this week's news, we talk about Rich Fiero, co-owner of Atrevida Brewing in Colorado Springs, who took down a mass shooter at a nightclub over the weekend. Rich is a true hero and we raise a glass to him.

Gamer Dr DisRespect is also releasing his own Black Steel Bourbon, and Gary explains to David exactly who that is. At the end of the show we talk about Quatar banning beer sales at the World Cup, and Budweiser came up with a creative way to unload the beer it had planned to sell during the games.

David made a beer trade to get himself some Michigan brew from the UP. This week he tries Mykiss IPA from Marquette Michigan's Blackrocks Brewery. So far it's safe to say David has not tried something in the beer category on this show that he doesn't like.

Gary tests his newly sleeved stomach with a throwback to his 40th birthday as Peerless Small Batch was the fans choice. Turns out it is still good and still a great story from one of Kentucky's oldest bourbon brands.

David starts off this week drinking TX Bourbon from Firestone & Robinson Distillery in Ft. Worth. The distiller wrote a book called The Terroir of Whiskey, which David read. TX Bourbon is definitely a unique tasting bourbon, and David can't quite put his nose on the exact taste.

In the beer segment, David drinks Blue Heron's Oktoberfest, and talks about his love of Oktoberfest beers in general.

We chat about the crazy growth of non-alcoholic beer, and specifically craft non-alcoholic beer, which grew 102% over the latest 52 weeks ending August 20. Is NA beer becoming a thing?
