Often cited as “the writers writer” Tame is one of the country’s greatest all round graffiti artists having pushed progressive styles via all city bombing campaigns through the late 80’s and into the 90’s.

From the Belgrave line to insides, outsides, panels and walls, we hear how a master of the art form crafted so many classic pieces and pushed Melbourne graffiti into new and unchartered territory.

In between it all we talk the formation of DMA, wagging school with Paris and Peril, Peter Stevens, the transit squad, raids, chases, teaming with New2 and the influence of Nab (RIP).

A second generation member of Melbourne’s WCA crew - alongside his brother Dens - we get into some of Reach’s history, from his earliest memories growing up on the Hursty line all the way up to WCA’s many productions around Melbourne.

We delve into the history books and talk about everything from racking paint and running the yards to being on the periphery of Melbourne’s burgeoning hip hop scene and moving from panels to production work.

Not only has Reach been an active writer for decades, he has also photographed and documented graffiti and hip hop in Melbourne since the late 80’s.

This is a crazy episode that packs in more random rap trivia and talk than probably any episode prior, Buck is one of the country’s most technically proficient vinyl manipulators, with the knowledge to back it up.

We get into everything, from his time in Adelaide to his eventual move to Sydney, establishing himself as one of the country’s great scratch DJs alongside the Bingethinkers and Dialectrix and at some of Sydney’s early club nights.

Between it all we talk all the usual - influences, songs, albums, artists, old albums and scratch hooks, the various aspects of DJing and we even get into how “the gods” create.
