Hop-tu-Naa is the celebration of the traditional Gaelic festival of Samhain, the start of winter. It is considered the oldest unbroken tradition in the Isle of Man. The aforementioned Samhain (pronounced Sow-in) in the Northern Hemisphere and Beltane in the Southern Hemisphere. It begins at sunset on October 31 (Gaels, Welsh people, and Neopagan Wheel of the Year). The first day of the Day of the Dead, or Dia de los Muertos, is celebrated until November 2 in Mexico.
