WarnerMedia and HBO Max struck a deal where they will be releasing their entire 2021 film slate simultaneously in theaters and on HBO Max for the first 30 days. This was a bombshell agreement that has potential for far reaching implications for the movie industry, specifically if this model will gain traction and other studios will follow suit. 

The question, however, is what impact this will have on the movie theater industry. 

The guys spend today's episode talking about the deal, discussing where they think the impact of the deal will be felt, whether they are excited about the potential, and how does WarnerMedia benefit from the deal in general. 

The 2019 calendar year proved to be a pretty incredible year for film. Of the movies the guys sat down to watch, the one that resonated the most with them, enough to dedicate an entire review to, was "The Irishman" (which would go on to become Luke's favorite film of the year). From the acting to the thematic elements that made the film unique among Scorsese's legendary backdrop, Before Cinema had a lot to say about the movie, so join in as they break Scorsese's latest film!

This episode was recorded in 2019, closer to when the film was initially released on Netflix. It's being released from the vault now to fill in the Thanksgiving week episode. It's the season of the witch, All Hollow's Eve, and every other description of Halloween season! To ring in the holiday month, Before Cinema decided to take a look at a staple of the season: horror movies. Specifically, horror movie villains and everything they offer...in the workforce.

In this episode, the guys use their imagination and their persuasive skills and choose, from a list of 3 different jobs, which iconic horror movie villains would make the best professionals in the respective jobs chosen by them. Enjoy!

Fall is here, and the guys wanted to have a little fun this week. Because school is back in session nationwide (kinda) and football season is upon us, they came up with an idea: draft "assets" from any teen film ever made to build the best "teen" film. The categories are:

 - Protagonist/best friend
 - 'Zany' adult character
 - Bully/antagonist 
 - Obstacle/outcome/conflict
 - Wild card pick (any trope from any movie)

With the lack of film releases throughout the summer months, in connection with our watching habits for the same time frame, we decided to stretch out into the world of TV and look at Watchmen (HBO), one of the most important and impressive series released in the past few years. 

Also: we've been gone for 6 months, let's catch up! We discuss how we spent our time in quarantine stuck in our homes, which can be best described as the three of us consuming media at a dangerously unhealthy rate.
