Once again I get to have a discussion with Glenn Davis of Linz Heritage Angus. Linz will have their 4th Annual Bull Sale at Crown Point, Indiana on January 23, 2021. Glen discusses The operation, Oklahoma City success, Linz Exemplify, and the bulls that will be offered on January 23rd. A great program, a great guy, join me as I talk with Glenn on this episode.

They say everything is bigger in Texas and this sale is no exception!  On this episode we talk with Phil Williams of Williams Cattle Co for their Annual Production Sale happening on December 8th.  Listen in as Phil tells us all about his large cattle operation, ranch horse breeding program, Border Collie breeding and training business and his former career as a game hunt guide.  He also discusses in depth with us about the high quality bred females they are offering in this sale!

We have another repeat guest for this episode of Before The Bid.  We go back to Ohio and visit again with Jon Davis of Diamond T Land and Cattle Co to talk about their upcoming online show heifer sale on December 7th.  Listen as Jon tells us how Diamond T got its start, shares a few funny stories from back in the day and gives us his personal insight on the awesome line up of heifers being offered in this sale.

On this episode we talk about a bred heifer sale with “The Weimer Twins” from Pennsylvania. They are bringing their two families together to make their cattle operation about kids and cattle. We discuss life growing up as twins competing in the ring, moving families back together, and the females that Lynn had to talk her father-in-law into offering in this sale.

We have a very educational podcast with Ray of Ray Gaskill Farms for this episode. Ray has a bred female sale that will be held on Showpig.com ending on November 23, 2020. Join us as we learn from a breeder that has been in the hog business for 50 years. We discuss their history, philosophy, frozen boar semen, and these excellent lots for this sale.

We are Colorado bound for this episode! On the eastern side of Colorado along I70 we find Cole and Bailey Ridnour from Beaver Creek Farm. They have teamed up with Chance Friedly of Friedly Cattle for the Plains Hotties Elite Heifer Sale. The sale is held on SC Online Sales on November 14th, 2020. Join us as we have a few laughs, talk some friendly show products harassment, and discuss these females in the sale.

We have a conversation with my dad, Doctor Phil Howell D.V.M. about his bid for the American Angus Board of Directors. The 137th Annual Angus Meeting is scheduled for November 8 and 9 in Kansas City, Missouri. Five seats are open for the Board of Directors. We give you some insight to Docs family and business history, past experiences on the board, and thoughts for the future of the breed and cattle business.
