This Before the Bid podcast takes us to Ohio for the Wintrow Show Pig Sale. This sale has now been changed to an online and phone bid process. We break into this segment and give you the details of the bidding procedures. Listen in as Chris and I give you some history of Wintrow Show Pigs and discuss the pigs it the sale. Livestock Before the Bid Podcast comes to you this time informing you of a bull sale to be held in Nebraska from an Indiana operation. Wilson Cattle Company from Cloverdale, Indiana will be hauling bulls to the Shamrock Livestock Market in O’Neil, Nebraska on March 28, 2020. There is a special bred cow sale to be held after the bull sale for Nebraska breeders. You can find the catalog on Wilson Cattle Company facebook page to follow along.

On this Before the Bid Podcast we talk Stewart Select Bulls and a select group of females that will be offered for sale April 6, 2020 in Greensburg, Indiana. We visit about the start of this powerful program and the genetics available from Stewart Select for your herd.  We also discuss the sale offering of bulls and females. Included is an update of Stewart bulls at Midland and the programs’ past success at the Midland Bull Test.

On this Before the Bid Podcast I talk to the Advisors and some students from the Paoli High School Agriculture, Farm to Plate Program in Paoli, Indiana. This school swine program feeds the high school and middle school cafeteria program from pigs started at the school in the Agriculture classes. They have started an FFA Show Pig Sale to be held March 15th from 1pm – 5pm in the Bill McDonald Animal Science Pavilion. Listen as they explain the program and I have some student guests that will talk about their pigs in the sale.
