We go back to the early days of Barry’s life and what his first aspirations were in life. A fun little conversation about his brief stop at a City College and the why his GPA was good considering….. well, you will find out. In high school he and some friends formed a music group and toured a bit with a stop at The Apollo in New York!

Career begin in advertising briefly before being named the promotion director at KCBS, the breaks he got form the right people at the right time which eventually led him to KPIX and in front of the camera for the very first time at a big time network at the time. 

Barry begin his broadcast career in TV in 1968 and his boxing career in 1976 as he called the gold medal matches for boxing and field hockey in the 76’ Olympics. His first tennis broadcast was no other than Wimbledon and even did the 1978 Rose Bowl! After being in NY and back to SF we talk about the days at HBO and boxing. His famous fights he called that leads to a great, rare story about the Marvin Hagler v Sugar Ray Leonard MegaFight. You want to hear this!

Barry tells how he landed the role for Rocky IV, what that was like, a behind the scenes story, the money he received for the doing the movie and the checks that showed up later and still do. Great stuff here. We discuss the hall of fames he is in that includes the International Boxing HOF, his top memories that includes a wonderful insight into the friendship with Arthur Ashe and what lies ahead for Barry. This is a fantastic podcast!

Deon talks openly about growing up on the west side of Chicago in “The Village” and how his Mother and Grandparents shaped him to who he is. We discuss who first recruited him to play basketball, how winning the Chicago Public League Title is a huge ordeal, along with what Coach Bob Hambric meant to him and how he developed Deon. 

Who helped him make his college decision once he narrowed it to five schools? After going thru the records, he currently holds in U of Illinois Men’s Basketball History, we talk about the art of shot blocking and why he choose to play professionally in Europe over the NBA. 

We discuss going from a player to be a coach and how that all came about at a Starbucks of all places, the time it takes away from your family and how his life has come full circle.

It begins from a tiny village in France with fresh vegetables in backyard and we hear about Pascal as an incredibly young child and literally how toys and cabinets were the grassroots of his career. His creative side that led him to practicing piano for 10 hours a day for how long????

Jen has a 2:34.37 PR from the 2019 Chicago Marathon along with 1:11.32 in the half from Houston in 2020. She recalls her first running memory and overcoming Osgood Schlatter in both knees in high school. We discuss her college recruitment and why she made the decision to attend the U of Arizona. 

After hearing about her transition to college, Jen talks about her 3rd place finish in the 2011 NCAA Outdoor 10,000. Lian is deeply passionate about her career, her clients, and her lifestyle. All this is discussed in length on the show. Perry was born and raised in Las Vegas and starts with growing up in Sin City. He explains how being in the smaller version on Vegas than it is today may have aided him to meeting his best childhood friend (Andre Agassi). We talk about what his father taught him being an owner of six TV stations, going to college in Washington D.C. and how he became the President of Agassi Enterprises. 

This led to meeting and representing Brook Shields which led him to the film industry and the story behind how he met Shaquille O’Neal and has handled all his business since. Perry tells the story of how he became part of an investment group that bought and sold the Golden Nugget in downtown Fremont St (Vegas) for a profit of 226% in less than two years and before the age of 36!
