His mother and grandparents raised him through financial troubles and he turned to comedy and comic books to let his imagination run wild. He developed his writing abilities early on, penning his own movie scripts in high school...literally… he couldn’t afford a computer so he wrote that baby by hand. He was working through school and managed to save up money to pursue his education further in law school but a forged signature by his biological father would leave his account penny-less.

The artist had been battling a nasty flu, he was over worked and on top of this he had also suffered from Epileptic Seizures throughout his youth. In his later years he kept pretty quiet which was in some part due to his religious regulations being a Jehovah Witness. But back in the 80's & 90's this man was on the top of every chart. He was actually the artist responsible for warning graphics being put on albums after then senator Al Gore caught his daughter jamming out to Prince's sexual tunes. This further added to his appeal of pushing boundaries which in turn made him more and more mainstream and he was given the job of making the soundtrack for the original Batman film.
