When I got married, I realized I had this picture in my head of what a wife was supposed to be.
She cooked beautiful meals.
She kept a spotless house.
She always knew the right thing to say.
She made it all look effortless.
The only problem? She wasn't me.
In this episode, I'm sharing how I spent years trying to become an imaginary woman before finally asking a much better question:
Who do I actually want to be as a wife?
We're talking about where our expectations come from, why so many women feel exhausted trying to live up to them, and how paying attention to your own husband matters far more than chasing someone else's definition of a "good wife."
If you've ever wondered whether you're enough, or felt like you're constantly falling short, I hope this episode feels like a deep breath. My prayer is that you'll leave feeling free to stop performing and start becoming the wife your husband experiences every day and the woman God created you to be.
