Behind Every Great Man episodes

  • Losing Yourself Isn't The Problem. Staying Lost Is.

Most women don’t lose themselves out of neglect.

They lose themselves out of love for others.

In this episode, we explore why losing yourself is often needed, and why staying lost after the season has passed can quietly disconnect you from joy, desire, and presence.

This is a gentle invitation to begin coming back home.

  • How Love and Responsibility Can Quietly Turn Into Control

Behind every great man is a great woman who learned how to carry everything and is now learning to let go.

    • What am I trying to control right now?
    • Who am I trying to control—and why?
    • What fear lives underneath my need to manage everything?
    • What do I believe would happen if I stopped overseeing, fixing, or directing?
    • Where did I learn that vigilance equals safety?
    • Do I ask for help—but then redo things anyway?
    • How does being “the default” affect my ability to rest?
    • What might it look like to trust my partner more fully?
    • What might it look like to trust God with what I’m gripping so tightly?
    • What would change if I believed I don’t have to hold it all alone?

You were never meant to carry everything by yourself.

    It is okay to rest.

It is okay to be supported.

It is okay if it doesn’t look the way you would do it.

    Let go.

    And trust.

  • A Love Letter To The Stay-At-Home Mom

My prayer for you is this:

    • God protect this woman who gives so much of herself that she sometimes forgets where she ends and everyone else begins.
    • Bless her hands.
    • Calm her mind.
    • Protect her heart.
    • Remind her that she is seen.
    • She is supported, and she is loved dearly.

    We honor you.

  • To the Single Mom: A Love Letter to the Strongest Woman I Know

To the woman who is mom and dad in every moment, the nurturer and the protector.

    • I pray that God watches over you today and always.
    • Over your home, every room, every corner, every place your child sleeps.
    • That His protection surrounds you like a blanket.
    • I pray he places hope back in your chest where exhaustion tried to steal it.
    • I pray he renews your faith for seasons of rest, ease, support, and partnership.
    • And until that season comes, may you never forget this.
    • You are not alone.
    • You are held right now by a God who sees everything that you carry and calls you worthy of so much more than struggle.
    • This love letter is for you and you are loved more than you know.

  • Reconnecting with Your Partner when Life won't Pause (With My Husband, Keith)

Behind every great man is a great woman who turns toward her partner when life pulls them apart.

    • Ask yourself, where can I reach for my partner again?
    • Where can I soften?
    • Where can I choose connection, even in the busyness?
    • Sister, you know where you can make space.
    • You know when something can wait.
    • You know when you can choose a moment with your partner.
    • Even when it's hard, even when a child is upset, even when life is loud.
    • Reconnecting is not a massive gesture, it's a quiet choosing.
    • One small moment at a time, one tiny turn toward each other.
    • This is where the two of you find your way back home.

  • The Soft Life: Living Gently in a Hard World

Behind every great man is a great woman who knows living a soft life is the secret.

    • Life as we know it can feel like a hurricane.
    • It swirls around us with to-do lists, demands, and the relentless pace of a world that never seems to slow down.
    • If we move too fast, we get swept up in the chaos.
    • If we move too slow, it feels like the hurricane is overtaking us.
    • But at the center of every hurricane, there is an eye, a place where the winds die down and the noise fades away.
    • I want you to imagine that your home, the heart of your family, is right there in that center.
    • You have the power to anchor your household in that stillness and move with it, staying in this center.
    • So when you feel like you're being pulled into the storm, breathe.
    • Be still and find the center again.

  • The Home Executive: Her Unseen Power That Shapes Everything

Behind every great man is a great woman whose presence may not be seen, but everyone feels.

    • I want to speak directly to the woman who isn't sure just how important her role is.
    • You are anchoring a family. You are shaping the culture.
    • You are the heartbeat of the home.
    • You hold power, you hold influence.
    • You have the ability to sway decisions, shift atmospheres, and move the needle in ways no title ever could.
    • Understand the weight of that and carry it with wisdom, respect, and grace.
    • You are the home executive and it matters more than you know.

  • A Season of Calm: Finding Peace In The Holiday Chaos

Behind every great man is a great woman who knows Peace begins within her.

    • Think about the upcoming season, the holidays, the travel, the gathering of loved ones.
    • Picture what's to come. The planning, the prepping, the cooking, the cleaning.
    • See the faces of family and friends entering your space, or perhaps you're stepping out of your comfort zone to enter theirs.
    • Picture yourself doing your best to draw boundaries, leaving your predictable routine to navigate the unpredictable.
    • Feel the quiet pull of wanting to do it all, to be everything for everyone.
    • Now, invite in the image of the woman you wish to be during this season.
    • Who is she? What does she embody?
    • See her moving through these upcoming days with grace. Her energy is warm and calm.
    • Sister, no one gets to decide how you respond or how you show up. No one can pull you from your center unless you let them.

  • When His Mind Doesn’t Leave the Office: When Work Follows Him Home, Her Presence Brings Him Back

Behind every great man is a great woman who remembers her presence is powerful.

    • When you feel that familiar frustration rise up in you when you can feel your husband is still somewhere else, pause.
    • Instead of letting resentment creep in, pause.
    • And bring it back to your breath.
    • Place your hand gently on your chest.
    • Feel the rise and fall of your breath.
    • And as you breathe, repeat these words quietly inside.
    • His exhaustion is not my rejection.
    • His ears are still ringing from the day.
    • It's not about me. Both of our needs matter.
    • I am his safe space. I am his home.
