A childhood in the sheds inspired Tameka to pursue a career in the wool industry.

From learning to shear at the age of three to traveling across Australia to compete and work it’s been a whirlwind profession ever since.

Tameka, drawing from her own experiences, shares some invaluable tips for those starting out and what a day in the life looks like. Blythe loves nothing more than having fun and she has achieved a lot whilst doing so. This shines through in her wealth of knowledge across the industry. From growing up on a station to working overseas in market pre ESCAS and now working on her home farm with beef breeders and 2500 laying hens.

Blythe shares an incredible insight into her business of raising laying hens in a regenerative sustainable way. How she is transparent with her social media and open farm days including engaging with her customers in person at the Manning Farmers Markets. Blythe is also a leader in getting the best out of people and developing a team of people around her.

We take a deep dive into live export with Annabelle Coppin. Annabelle has seen it all, having been awarded a Nuffield Scholar to conduct her research on the trade and participate in a diverse range of tours across the globe. Annabelle talks candidly about the 2011 cattle live export crisis, shines a light on Australian privileges and highlights why the live export trade exists with a particular focus on people and markets.

Annabelle says, "That's the beauty of being an Australian; we have the choice and position to have such opinions. But I can't help but assume the priorities of society change with the comfort of a full stomach and a wet throat. My experience of 16 countries, more than 100 flights and 12 months of diverse travel has given me the opportunity to build a very solid foundation of knowledge."

How many 11 year olds spend their time helping their family catch buffalo and completing school of the air? That is what growing up on a station in Northern Territory looked like for Hanna Hayes, but you might know her as Buffalo Bill!

Hanna explains the catching process, how the feral animals are looked after in their care and why it is necessary to catch the buffalo in this month's episode.
