"It's a response that so many people have brought to bear over the past, you know, hundred years of us kind of marking what culture does in times of stress and of debilitating depression. And we see people rising up with great acts of beauty. So I feel like comics really do that. We create moments that lift spirits. "I grew up watching comedy with my dad. I grew up going to comedy shows. Well, the ones that I was legally allowed to attend. But once I turned 18, 21, I was going to a lot of shows in Los Angeles. The Comedy Store, the Improv, the Laugh Factory. Whenever there was something that I wanted to go to, I would try to go out of my way and get there."5 min
