A compelling villain is only as good as the nemesis that gets in their way. A boring do-nothing hero is not good for your image. Don’t believe me? Well, that’s foolish. Listen to this great episode and find out ’how come’.

Not all villain’s stories start at the beginning, but that’s where we are starting season 2. In part 1 we dove into what makes a great origin story, and now we try and put it to practice.

Satan has been turned into a symbol of ultimate evil in western culture, but how does he really compare to the other villains we’ve covered? Now that we have more than 5 episodes of villains to compare him to, we find ourselves asking this question again, so we’ve revisited the topic.

Villain Discussed:

Hellboy (Hellboy)

Sean Sellers

First of the Fallen (Constantine)

Ottis Toole

Some folks claim King Shark is the son of a “god” but there are some questions to be asked. So that’s what happens in this episode. Will there be answers? Not likely, but hey, check it out anyway. Why doesn’t he have magic powers?!?

Villain Discussed:

King Shark (DC Comics)

What is more sad than seeing great villainous potential go to waste? Not a lot of things, but that’s what we have this time. Dr. CH@Os could have changed the face of villainy forever, but then he didn’t.

Villain Discussed:

Joseph Konopka (Dr. CH@Os)

When it comes to pure villainy potential, the undead seem to be where it’s at. Legends of vampires have endured the test of time and still strike fear and wonder into the hearts of mortals. Some of the greatest villains in Behind The Mask history are vampires, and today, we talk about the ones that are left.

Villain Discussed:

Bloody Mary (DC Comics)

Fritz Haarmann (The Vampire of Hanover)

Deacon Frost (Blade)

Roderick “Vesago” Ferrell

We joke a lot about Batman being the biggest villain in Gotham, but this time, we are talking about a villain who is everything Batman wishes he could be. I mean, Man-Bat has actual wings for crying out loud. Kinda makes a silly little cape look kind of lame, huh?

Villain Discussed:

Man-Bat (Batman)
