Her initial diagnosis was Burkett’s lymphoma in the breast, which is a rare and aggressive form of cancer. She was 27, the mother of 2 young children, and 22 weeks pregnant at the time of her initial diagnosis. Lauri was then diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma 23 years later in 2015 at the age of 49.
