For nearly two years, Takiya has kept silent about the private details of her sturggle with depression, anxiety and disapointment caused by a marriage and divorce that turned her life and family upside down. Dealing with the pain and pressure of it all  led her to go into hiding to escape the reality she was living in which ultimately led to a nervous mental breakdown, "unintentionally" chopping her hair off to detach from the reminder and having visions of suicidal actions upon herself. Takiya shares how her intimate relationship with God prompted a "pick one" ultimatum that He let her either live or die which led Him to respond with a deeper purpose and prompt to release this podcast and speak about what life is like behind every reason she can still smile.
