  • [PART 1] How Gaslighting Impacts Black and Brown Women in the Workplace with Zenica Chatman

Has anyone ever made you question what you know to be true? Did it make you question your own memory...or perhaps even your sanity?

That's gaslighting, and many Black women will experience it at work - especially when it comes to issues dealing with racism, sexism, or microaggressions.

My guest this week on Being Brown At Work is Zenica Chatman, a career coach who helps women cope with workplace bullying, including gaslighting.

Early in her career, Zenica had her own experience with gaslighting and workplace bullying. As a result, she was left "emotionally broken."

Despite what the people around her were telling her, she knew that the harassment she was experiencing wasn't just in her head. It was REAL. So she did the work to redefine her self-worth. Today, she helps other women do the same.

  • [REPLAY] What Does Your Attitude Say About You?

Have you ever wondered what your attitude says about you?

If your goal is to become a leader in your organization, it's essential to really analyze your attitude and how others may see you as a result.

Because here's the thing: Even if you really know your stuff, it doesn't mean that the others in the room are below you. There's a huge difference between being a leader and being a dictator.

How others see you may have an impact on your chances of career advancement...because if your attitude doesn't support the group as a whole, they're not going to think you're ready for a next-level promotion.

Listen in to this replay episode as I discuss what your attitude says about you, and how to display your authenticity and leadership abilities more positively.
