This week on the Being Herd Podcast we have two guests with us! Zoha Jung and Carina Maiwald.
Zoha is the founder of The Backwater Sanctuary, a non-profit rehabilitation and rescue sanctuary based in Kabini, India. Zoha's drive and passion for equine / animal welfare is an inspiration. Her commitment to creating a safe space for animals to be who they are, and to ultimately thrive is a testament to her core values and belief in the possibility and magic of healing. She is also my cousin so I feel very grateful to have a member of my family on the pod!
Carina is a multi award winning Equine Photographer, healer, and inspiration as well. To me she embodies truth, courage, intuition, and presence in one of the most profound ways I have seen to date. Her passion for sharing the truth of the horses she is photographing instills a sense of deep magic into the framework of her purpose. She is also passionate about capturing and sharing the beauty of the journey horses go through in their healing.
Together Zoha and Carina are forces of nature. In this episode we hear them give their perspectives on what it is like to share the stories of equines who are healing to an audience who primarily values pleasing aesthetics. We also discuss equine sensitivity and the magical, synchronistic healing journey of Hector who Carina recently worked with at the Sanctuary.
