Buddhism: How Christianity Agrees and Disagrees with Buddhism
Songs and Hymns:
"Of the Father's Love Begotten"
"We Believe in God Almighty"
"Lord, Who Throughout"
"Christ for the World! We Sing"
Sermon Notes:
Where Christianity and Buddhism Agree;
Siddharta Gotama (6th century BC)
Life is a pain-filled journey.
Our corrupted desires create much misery.
There is a place of eternal fulfillment.
Where the Gospel and Buddhism Disagree;
The only Buddha (savior) is the Person and work of Jesus Christ.
We all live only one life - no reincarnation (Hebrews 9:27).
Desires in themselves are not the problem, but the corrupted desires of our sinful nature.
Nirvana is not the goal, but the presence of God in a new world and a new heaven.
