Apa yang terpikir kalau mendengar kata "Demokrasi"?

Apakah kalian langsung kebayang mahasiswa yang turun ke jalan untuk menyuarakan aspirasinya?

Singkat cerita saya mau bahas salah satu kebutuhan kita, yaitu "Demokrasi" karena demokrasi itu milik semua orang, termasuk kita para desainer.

Di episode terbaru belajar.yux, saya ngobrol sama Ganjar Satrio, Postgraduate Student di Politecnico di Milano sekaligus Service Designer yang udah lama konsisten ngomongin demokrasi, baik di kelas maupun di media sosial.

Kita bahas banyak hal:

• Kenapa desainer perlu punya nilai-nilai demokrasi

• Gimana cara merawatnya dalam keseharian

• Dan yang paling relate: gimana kalau kita takut buat bersuara, atau ngerasa demokrasi gak ada hubungannya sama hidup kita dan apa dampaknya ke hidup kita

I used to think AI tools were just things like ChatGPT, DeepSeek, or Grok. Turns out, AI can also be implemented in 3D printing!

In this episode, I talk with Dick Ferieno, who’s currently doing research in Tissue Engineering at the University of Cambridge. One of the key objects in his study is a scaffold for stem cells, an artificial structure that helps repair damaged tissue support, something the body can’t heal on its own.

What’s fascinating is that these scaffolds are created using 3D printers enhanced with AI and machine learning to ensure precision and customization.

🚀 belajar.yux Season 2 is officially live!

I'm thrilled to start this new season by featuring Nadea Nabilla Putri, CEO of Azura Indonesia, a social enterprise committed to advancing the green technology sector.

In this episode, Nadea shares her journey from winning the Mitsubishi Electric Award 2020, being selected as a One Young World Delegate Speaker 2022, to reaching the Top 5 at the GIST Catalyst: Asia Pacific Pitch Competition by the US State Department.

We also dive into her experience in building Manta One, the resilience needed to grow a meaningful product.

Lanjutan siniar bersama Kak Pras kali ini membahas bagaimana fasilitas penelitian berperan penting dalam eksplorasi bidangnya saat ini, yaitu Quantitative Human Behaviour. Dalam perjalanannya, Kak Pras telah melakukan penelitian di Yokohama National University, Jepang, dan saat ini melanjutkan karirnya di University of Konstanz, Jerman. Beberapa fasilitas seperti motion tracker dan eye tracker menjadi alat penting dalam proses risetnya.

Selain itu, ia juga berbagi pandangannya tentang bagaimana research adalah perjalanan jangka panjang yang membutuhkan iterasi berkali-kali. Mau dengar ceritanya lebih lengkap? Yuk, dengerin siniar belajar.yux!

Siniar ini direkam pada tahun 2022 bersama Kak Pras Utama, yang berbagi pengalamannya dalam mengembangkan sistem pendukung diagnosis untuk mengidentifikasi anak dengan Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) selama masa studi doktoralnya di Yokohama National University, Jepang.

Saat ini, Kak Pras berkarir sebagai Postdoctoral Researcher di University of Konstanz, Jerman, di mana beliau terus mendalami penelitian mengenai Quantitative Human Behaviour.
