Jesus was made manifest as a physical human being and fellowshipped with His Father God, discipling those who believed in Him. Jesus taught His believers to walk according to the light of His Word, and when they sinned, they would go before God in repentance, confessing their sins. This is the heart of a true believer.

Before examining any book of the Bible, it is important to do a background study of the book.  As such, the who, what, where, when, and how's of the Book of 1 John will be examined.

Before any book of the Bible is studied, we should know the background history of the book - such as author, date and place of writing, the purpose of the writing, and any other pertinent information to help us understand what the author is trying to convey to his audience.  As we get into the heart of the author, we begin to  understand the importance of why we need to study these scriptures.

As always, practical application will be given to help us in our growth and relationship with the Lord as the Holy Spirit instructs us how we are to live our lives righteously which we know is pleasing to the Lord.
