Introducing DNA ID Episode 205 The case of Eileen Zarlenga

Single mom Eileen Zarlenga disappeared from her home on a cold night in March 1988, taking her coat, boots and purse, but leaving behind her three year old daughter. Eileen remained missing for 4 days, and when she was found, it was not good news. The question of who stabbed the young mother over and over and left her body in a remote patch of woods in Mahoning County, OH would haunt generations of investigators. When DNA was detected on sexual assault kit swabs, it did not get investigators any closer to an answer. And when IGG came along and was used to identify Eileen's attacker, real answers remained elusive. Eileen's case is closed, but you won't see the end of this one coming. Episode 11 Grigori Rasputin

Grigori Rasputin was a Russian mystic and faith healer. He is best known for having befriended the imperial family of Nicholas II, the last Emperor of Russia, through whom he gained considerable influence in the final years of the Russian Empire. For a time, he was the equivalent of a modern day rock star or celebrity, but as time went on, he began to be viewed by many in a negative light. Those people would take drastic steps to be rid of Rasputin once and for all.

Episode 10 Louisa Ioannidis

24-year-old Louisa Ioannidis was found floating in Darebin Creek in the Melbourne Australian suburbs on October 11, 2011. While her death was ruled an accidental drowning, her brother, Tass, believes she was murdered, and has spent the last fifteen years urging Victoria authorities to reopen her case. In 2024, new evidence was brought to the Australian public, but was it enough to reclassify Louisa's death as a homicide?

Episode 9 Tucker Hipps

Clemson University sophomore, Tucker Hipps, was found floating in one South Carolina's larges revisors, Hartwell Lake. Twenty-nine members of Tucker's fraternity were with him as he ran across the Seneca River Bridge on a fraternity initiation run. But when his body was found several hours later, none of them came forward to explain how he'd gone from running, to drowned.

Episode 8 Rafael Hernandez-Torres

Rafael Hernandez-Torres was a well liked, and respected member of his Tulsa, OK community. He was known by everyone as a kind and giving person, and was a fixture to locals who knew him from the time he spent driving his taxi cab. So in 2015 when Rafael was found shot to death and his body submerged in his cab in the Caney River, detectives struggled to find anyone with a motive to kill the beloved cabbie.

Episode 5 Colleen Wood

Colleen Wood moved from Dayton, OH to Boca Raton, FL to get a fresh start after losing her job and ending a long term relationship. She viewed it as a chance to lead the life she had always wanted. She settled in and got a new place and landed a new job, and before long, she met a new man that she became interested in. His name was John Paul. He was a Wall Street investor and race car driver, and he shared a love of sailing with Colleen. Unfortunately for her, he also had a very dark past, one that Colleen was not aware of. In December, 2000, 53 year old Colleen boarded John Paul's boat; the Diamond Girl, to embark on an around the world cruise. Instead of the experience of a lifetime, Colleen sailed into the unknown and was never seen again.

Episode 3 Debbie Wolfe

After completing her Christmas day shift in December, 1984, 28 year old nurse, Debbie Wolfe dropped from sight inexplicably causing those closest to her to worry. She was soon found dead on New year's day, 1985 in a pond behind her Fayetteville, NC home. Investigators ruled her death a tragic accident, but her mother, Jenny, believed that Debbie had been murdered and submerged in the pond to hide her. Several strange clues may back up her suspicions. How Debbie got into the pond is still a dark mystery over forty years later.
