Benjamin Nicols has quickly established himself as one of Melbourne’s most exciting emerging playwrights, with his first two plays premiering to acclaim – kerosene won the Green Room Award for best independent production two years ago and SIRENS was one of the standouts at last year’s Fringe Fest, nominated for Best Theatre.
kerosene and SIRENS are the first two works in Benjamin Nichol’s upcoming anthology series of monodramas that explore the psychology of love and loneliness across Australia.
Both stories are challenging and urgent explorations into purpose, obsession, connection to sexuality, and community.
Benjamin joined Rach & Dean on JOY Breakfast ahead of his run of both shows wrapping up.
