1- Those who condition salvation on the sinner do not know God's testimony about His purpose concerning Christ.--2- God determined to promote Christ-to give all power and authority even to the accomplishing of all of salvation so that He would suffer no loss in His glory.--3- Daniel had to be thrown into the lion's den because it was necessary for him that he might become the ruler of the whole kingdom of King Darius of the Medo-Persian Empire.--4- Daniel was a righteous man and yet was found guilty against the Law of His God. That was the only way he could be found guilty and be condemned.--5- A sinner shall be found with no injuries who believes in the God of Daniel-the God who says-salvation is by grace alone in the finished work of His Son who was thrown into the lion's den and yet rose on the 3rd day.--6- All these things spoke of the mystery of Christ and all our salvation. This is a wonderful gospel message and I highly recommend that you take the time and patience to go through the development and exposition of the gospel in it.--7- And it is free-

1- Again, to believe the truth about salvation we have to understand and align with God's arguments not with the traditions of men.--2- God introduced the person of Melchizedek as one who was an eternal being-without beginning of days nor end of life. Now this person holds a perpetual Priesthood that has the power of an indestructible life.--3- Now that takes Melchizedek out of being a type-but to being Christ because there is only one eternal Priesthood and one mediator between God and men. And that is the point of the text to say-the Priesthood of Christ is superior because it is of the same order as that of Melchizedek.--4- The Priesthood of Melchizedek has CONTINUITY and NO SUCCESSION unlike that of the Law. And that is the same Priesthood of Christ. It continues forever and has no succession because it is not by a fleshly ordinance. Christ did not have come from a tribe that had any priests so He did not come to succeed anyone. Christ is God and with respect to His nature-He is eternal.--5- Jesus did not come to succeed Melchizedek, but to fulfill this Priesthood because it was His Priesthood. --6- The priesthood of Melchizedek had perfection because Melchizedek was a perfect being, not some Canaanite king or a street kid who lost his birth certificate. And this same Priesthood is what Christ brings-which brings perfection in salvation. Perfection does not come from imperfect beings. --7- Now, when the Priesthood is changed-the Law has to change. If the Law has not changed then the Priesthood has not changed and you are still in your sins-because perfection of salvation comes from a changed Priesthood and Law.--8- Jesus is not a Priest of the Law of Moses.

1- Many proponents of tithing argue that tithing is still binding on the conscience of the believer under the New Testament because they say, -tithing predates the Law- and so they use Hebrews 7, which is the exposition of the encounter of Abraham with Melchizedek to prove it.--2- Is that even true- Is that what the text is even suggesting- The text has nothing to do with giving under the New Covenant. It is a text that is teaching the relation of Christ to all things-His superiority over the Law through the encounter of Abraham with Melchizedek.--3- Just expounding this text brought out a lot of wonderful gospel nuggets. You have to hear it. --4- We also explored that Melchizedek IS NOT a type of Christ. His profile is too lofty or exalted to just be a type. There is no type of Christ who lives forever and has a perpetual Priesthood.--5- We taught about tithing under the Law and giving under the New Covenant just to explore the differences-which are very clear. That the New Testament guide to giving is from a cheerful heart-not from compulsion because the pattern is God cheerfully giving His Son, the Son cheerfully giving Himself and the Father and the Son cheerfully giving the Holy Spirit.--6- If Christ is superior to the Law-which is the point-then the Law can not accomplish salvation for the sinner. The Law cannot sanctify or justify because it is INFERIOR to CHRIST. --7- But if Christ is superior-as He is-then salvation is also a sure thing-it is guaranteed by the dignity of His person and the excellency and perfection of His work. Therefore salvation cannot be lost. A salvation that can be lost was accomplished by a false Christ who cannot be found in the mind and

1- To believe the true gospel we have to hear, understand and believe God's arguments and align with them.----2- Men have come up with formulas of salvation that are contrary to God's formula because they do not agree with His way of doing things. To not agree God is the essence of unbelief.----3- Men have to know who they are as God has spoken and described us and in that to understand God's assessment of our INability to cause our own salvation.----4- God describes all men as sinners who have no ability whatsoever to help or cause in their own salvation.----5- The sinner is confronted with one question that they have to answer to God's satisfaction if that shall ever meet with God in peace and it is how they shall be made righteous before Him-----6- Many peoples have their own traditions and formulas that are agreeable with them, but are in opposition to God's revealed way of righteousness.----7- The answer to men's real need and most pressing question is the righteousness of God revealed which is by the faithfulness of Jesus Christ.----8- You have to listen to this message because it speaks to these issues as God has written them. May the Lord grant you ears to hear and as always it is free-

1- Salvation can be faked only for a minute until the Bridegroom shows up unexpectedly to reveal who has oil in their lamps and who does not.--2- The matter of salvation is the work of God alone. The Holy Spirit cannot be given to another person by another sinner.--3- Many are attracted to religion and faithfully participate in religion who are not saved. --4- They have much devotion in it so much that it is difficult to impossible to tell them apart from those who are born again and saved.--5- The wise virgins told the foolish virgins to go buy oil from those who sell it. Where is that where you go to buy oil that allows you to meet with the Bridegroom when He shows up---6- What does it mean to go and buy oil and who is the oil---7- The testimony of the wise virgins and the connection to Joseph in Egypt. It is a wonderful gospel message and it is free-

1- This was the first of the 3 messages that I preached this past weekend in England--2- Many who profess to be Christians have false ideas of both God and salvation.-3- They have false notions of grace as something that is dependent on human will or effort for it to work.-4- They have false ideas of God's purpose in salvation, therefore they ascribe to themselves powers that they do not possess, so called-human free-will, as the maker or breaker of salvation.-5- God saves not just by grace-but by sovereign grace election that the power of His glorious riches in grace may be shown to the vessels of mercy.-6- But God has a B side also in that-He has prepared vessels of dishonor prepared for destruction that His justice may be shown in His wrath.-7- There is a lot of serious teaching-though it starts slow-this was preached to the glory of the Sovereign God who accomplished salvation and it is long.-8- It is worth your time if God would grant you ears to hear. And it is free-

1- Many do not understand and believe the gospel because they are ignorant of God's teaching of it.--2- Those who claim that salvation can be lost do not know God, do not know themselves and surely do not know the gospel.--3- The gospel is good news because God swore by Himself to accomplish it in Christ.--4- God is unchangeable and an oath is unchangeable-especially one made by One who is unchangeable. And that is to say salvation was a decree of God- a promise backed up by God's immutability-unchangeableness.--5- For salvation to be lost God has to be changeable and that means God has to lie and God says-IT IS IMPOSSIBLE for Him to lie.--6- There is no consolation-no hope if salvation is dependent on the sinner. The sinner only has hope because of God's faithfulness not because of their faithfulness. The faithfulness of a sinner means nothing because they are changeable and that is why God did not swear by them, but swore on their behalf to accomplish their salvation.--7- In Christ we have a strong consolation, hope and anchor for the soul. Christ the forerunner who has gone before His people to represent them before God behind the veil, that is, in the Heavenly Holy of Holies.--8- That and more and it is a wonderful message whenever Christ alone is exalted and it is free-

1- He was poor, -2- He was a wise youth, -3- He was born poor in His kingdom, -4- He came out of prison to be king, -5- All the living followed the poor and wise youth, -6- There are some who did not, -7- There was an old foolish king who had a kingdom-but was hardened-could not be admonished anymore-he was dispossessed of it, -8- This old king was deposed by the poor and wise youth. -9- The wise youth was better than Ten rulers-the Law in the city.

Sermon- -1- He Swore by Himself 2- By two immutable things--Text- Hebrews 6 vs 9-18-1- We need to understand the whole counsel of God before we draw quick and uninformed conclusions about the matter of salvation.--2- It is a faithful biblical testimony that salvation cannot be lost because it is God in Christ who accomplished it.--3- Hebrews 6 vs 4 and 5 could not be saying true, born again, elect believers in Christ actually get saved then somehow end up getting lost to perdition. To believe that is to deny the whole gospel and the sacrifice of Christ.--4- Just because people go to church and say Jesus and grace does not automatically mean that they are saved. Remember the 10 virgins- All had the same elements of religion, but only 5 had oil in their lamps-to say the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit one can be as religious as they want-but still not be saved. --5- But God swore by Himself in the matter of salvation-to say-His commitment to bestow it was dependent on Him and conditioned on Christ alone.--6- Salvation can not be lost and God still remain to be God. The writer of Hebrews finishes chapter 6 by teaching that salvation is all about God's faithfulness not our faithfulness-not our running or choice.--7- God is bound to Himself and to His oath to bring the promise to as many as should be saved. --8- There is a lot of learning and weaving. And if God has given you ears to hear-you will be blessed by this teaching.
