  • 9. Triumphs, failures, holidays, time (Jan. 17, 2020)
Jeremy and I start this episode with intent to examine our wins and losses from the decade, and our goals for the future, but it gets out of control. Instead we diss formal education, our dating history and the holidays, all while we putter around in the wood shop and deliver some furniture deep into the Adirondacks in an F550 box truck (enjoy the low rumble of I-87)!

  • 8. Forging Equipment Acquisition (Dec. 3, 2019)
A crash-course in my experience collecting blacksmithing equipment over the last year; what I paid for things; and a few tidbits I learned along the way.

    Andrew Alexander, @blacksmithtools
    Justin Dietrich, @dietrich76
    Tracey Cheuvront, @bastionhead

I re-made the Bernbuilt Made podcast logo this episode! The old one felt flat. Wear those safety glasses, folks.

  • 5. Fancy tools aren't dealbreakers (Oct. 27, 2019)
In this episode, I rant about how makers are more important to me than what tools they're using. TL;DR: makers using tools I don't own doesn't discourage me from watching their videos just because I can't personally relate to that tool or method. I don't usually watch makers' videos for the exact project that is featured; I usually watch because I enjoy the person doing the project, their perspective, and their approach.

  • 4. Maker Camp recap, blacksmithing basics, Jeremy's house project (Oct. 20, 2019)
My cousin Jeremy joins me for this fourth episode, interviewing me extensively about my recent weekend at the Catskill Mountain Makers Camp. We cover my experience there (particularly at the forge), along with a brief dive into our childhood and how Jeremy's in-progress "garage with a house attached" is coming along.
