Sijoune is the new project between UK-based Greek maestro Stevie R, one of the founders of Inside Out Records, and the french analog guru Baptiste.

Both being fond of hardware synths and modular setups it was inevitable they'd eventually team up.

Trampoliner is honoured to host the duo's first-ever EP.

You Man's misspent youth crossing the Franco-Belgian border in search of fun provides a direct line to those all night raves in Ghent around the turn of the century, that both inspired their musical adventures and birthed Eskimo Recordings. Temple of Bloom is a textbook example of such an adventure, a number that drips with sweat and harks back to Todd Terry's early warehouse ready productions with its unstoppable house beat, chopped up breakbeats, percussion that echo off into infinity and discordant industrial stabs that punctuate the track.

Having followed their Eskimo debut with acclaimed remixes for the likes of Polo & Pan, Tensnake and Local Suicide, their upcoming 'As Above So Below' EP further cements the duos growing reputation for creating deep club tracks that embrace everything from the deepest techno and warehouse rave to global sounds and disco vibes that take the listener to the very reaches of consciousness and beyond.

As we progress through the beginning of this cold new year, Matt Pompeo & Snyl open up Chapter XVII with ‘Innocent Silent’, a rather dark & emotional trip backed by dizzy arpeggiators and melodic guitars , before the plaintive but charming voice of Angst For Greta makes an opening.

Following up comes the second original of this stunning release from the 2 producers. Here, we definitely enter in a groovier territory, tainted by hints of psychedelic and melodic synths unravelling as we progress through the track.

On remix duties, Alexey Union closes this EP beautifully by taking ‘Innocent Silence’ to darker and sweatier territories, giving another depth to Angst For Greta’s catchy vocals, and offering us one a long and powerful break, releasing the last part of track into an earthquake of blissfulness.

Franco-German producer Franz Matthews strikes back with his 'As I Am' EP on his own imprint

HIFI/LOFI Records, a catchy Indie Dance groover with infamous self-reflecting vocals, that is set

to wake up every festival stage this summer. Made of 2 sunny originals and backed up by 3

killer remixes from power producers Vhyce, Yame and Tegel Boys, the EP covers all ranges of

the Indie Dance spectrum beautifully.

After a strong year 2022 with a string of praised releases like The Question, which has seen major players like

Ame, The Economist or Innellea widely supporting its remixes of Aera & The Organism, Franz Matthews digs in

his spiritual inspirations again with ‘As I Am’. Produced during Matthews' time spent in Barcelona at the

beginning of summer 22, As I Am lifts off with a carpet of heavy organs unfolding in a powered up euphoria of

synth chords, before a choir of empowering & self reflective gang vocals, reminiscent of early LCD Soundsystem's

'Sound of Silver' days, throw us in our face to fully accept who we are and be proud of our uniqueness. The trip

takes us even further in a cosmic festival of funky acid leads which will mind bend any listener that will encounter

the path of this catchy happiness filler.

Belgian cosmic disco mastermind Vhyce steps in for the first remix, with a spacey and mental exploration of the

eponymous single. Next in row, Ukrainian ‘happy techno’ duo Yame reinterpret As I Am in a total opposite

direction with their signature vocoded and bonker production prowesses.

Sonnenallee, the second original track of the EP, is a sunny and slightly deranged funky stomper initially

produced at the time of Franz's debut 'Ostkreuz' release. No one else than the fantastic disco pilot crew of Tegel

Boys could close this EP more beautifully, with their infamous and obsessive acid-boogie styled hooks, making

you want to dance until you can’t feel your legs no more.
