Affekt Unit is the new collaboration between Philoxenia Records founders Luigi Di Venere and Neu Verboten.

Under this moniker they blend their musical obsessions, rooted in Italo house, Frankfurt EBM-house and trance.

We’re delighted to host this exciting and electrifying hybrid sound on their debut EP ‘Dust Off’ !

Diving deep into the excellent EBM sous acid vs downtempo trance trip offered by ‘The Struggle’ and ‘Dust Off’, it’s clear that both are in total control of their subject.

And it goes on with the more speedy-techno meets celestial trance ‘My Spirit’, a nod to Transcultural Shamanism "which is the true core of what raves, festivals and clubs are : moments of detachment from reality as well as places of sharing across cultures", as Luigi explains.

'Loon In Moon' is the super trippy and catchy tune of the EP, where once again Luigi's voice can be heard, whispering’ My Thumb instead of an onion’, words taken from a poem by the late American poet & novelist Sylvia Plath.

Throughout the whole experience offered by Affekt Unit, we dig into their common influences, and take pleasure in finding lots of clever ideas & elements added into the mix. The true force of these 4 tracks is that they never derail from the main goal, keeping an infectious groove going on and on and on.

In December Taste Rec. adds yet another gem to their catalogue, dropping an EP by Bordello

A Parigi’s contributor UABOS, backed up by remixes of Italian legends Fabrizio Mammarella, Dionigi, Phunkadelica and Me Me Me’s Amarcord.

A purely Italo Disco record is about to hit the shelves. Milan’s favourite resident DJ Uabos has crafted

a couple of powerful cuts, aimed at killing dancefloors, and raising hair on your skin. It’s showtime. An

ode to the past but intended for the present. With the club at the centre of the idea.

‘Magico Infinito’ is the latest EP landing on Taste Rec., out on vinyl in december. It includes 2 original

from Uabos (who has previously released on the likes of Bordello A Parigi, Toy Tonics and AEON) as

well as a series of remixes from some of Italy’s most known Italo legends: Fabrizo Mammarella and

Phunkadelica with 2 remixes on the vinyl version, and Dionigi and Amarcord on the exclusive digital

release that will be available only when buying the vinyl.

Transfix (Ulises Arrieta Remix)

Ulises Arrieta's remix is an attentively organized establishment. Using a divergent technique, to not only separate itself from the source material but also keep the main ingredients, so it won't give you an impression of overtaking or overshadowing its predecessor. Interesting stop beats introduced in this adaptation, grant a certain identity, allowing one to pursue a personal vision. While subconsciously knowing it's not the original track, that doesn't take away anything from the encounter. It naturally awards you with an unexpected, but also familiar experience.

It’s been a few weeks since the release of RSS Disco’s “Mooncake”. An album that weaves the fibers of wave, disco & cosmic music into a dense, glowing pattern of sound.

For “Mooncake Interpretations Pt.2”, RSS passed the knitting needles on to three (groups of) friends, so they would add their very own patterns to the waves.

Dutch DJ and producer Some Chemistry, (who also released on Bordello A Parigi), translates the mellow mood of ”Bay Owl” into a sweeping, hypnotic dancefloor cracker, glistening with atmospheric sounds and a touch of acid.
