Chapter 1 - Welcome from the Elephants

 - We are so happy that you are here !
 - We would like you to know that it is very special for us to find people who want to talk with us.
 - There are many reasons to learn to talk with animals. The most important one: It’s fun !

Also, it’s really impressive when you can call us elephants your friends.

But mostly, we appreciate how much you love us and we want us to be able to talk with each other. Most of you know already how to talk with us – maybe you have forgotten – but once upon a time we all used to talk together.
Maybe you were talking with the ducks or birds that you were feeding in the park, or with the butterflies or bees when you see them fly around. We have seen you wave at animals at a shelter and talking with kittens and puppies.
You talk with many animals all the time, without even noticing.
Maybe you just didn’t realize that we can hear you.

We can understand everything you say and we can communicate with you through your thoughts and feelings.
Does that sound strange ? Or is that what you feel all along ? Did you secretly always know that you and the animals understand each other ?
Let’s go on this journey together. We can’t wait to show you all the ways you can talk with us – and maybe you can invent or discover new ones ! We are excited to play with you in this way !
All you need is a pen, some coloured pencils, this workbook and maybe some more paper – in case we have a lot to talk about.

Here you can write down all the kinds of animals you remember meeting – your pets, animals in the forest, in the jungle, in a Zoo, by a lake, anywhere.

You can also draw pictures of animals.
