FDA Expands Hand Sanitizer Recall To 75 Brands
The FDA is expanding its recall of hand sanitizers to 75 brands.
The Food and Drug Administration says there's been an increase in hand sanitizers claiming to contain ethanol, but that actually contain methanol, also known as wood alcohol.
Methanol that's absorbed through the skin can cause blindness, and can kill if it's swallowed.
One of the brands included in the recall, Blumen Clear Advanced Hand Sanitizer, has already been recalled by Walmart and Costco.
