Jacob and Doug sample some of the 'best' and 'worst' of the season's programme and wax appreciative on the inclusion of filmmaker mini-retrospectives, sadly missing from the last few festivals proper. Includes another round in their ongoing argument regarding the merits of social-realist melodrama!
