In times of great need, God helps those who cannot help themselves.

This week, we welcomed special guest Ron Zappia, Senior Pastor of Highpoint Church in the Chicago area as he taught from Ecclesiastes 4:9-12. We were not created to live in isolation and this passage shows us that a healthy church community stands alongside and lifts one another up through every season of life.

Worship makes much of God and makes little of ourselves. God loves cheerful, joyful worshipers.

When trouble attacks us, we do not trust in God’s methods, but in God who is faithful and true.

Worship sees God as the All-Sufficient Creator, the Loving Savior, and the Holy King that He is and then looks in faith for Him to be God to us. We worship God when we confess our sins to Him and ask for Him to forgive and cleanse us.

God cares deeply about the pain of our suffering, and it shouldn’t happen in silence. The Bible gives us a channel to express the trials we experience.

Real peace is to be sought not apart from God’s people, but among them. It’s difficult, but it is worth fighting for.

The difference between people with faith and those without is night and day; people of faith live with spiritual clarity about the future and encourage one another in spiritual community.

Real church experiences hope in the face of death. Because of Jesus, the grave cannot hold us.

No one believes in Jesus and continues to live the same old life. Any faith in Christ that does not change our practical life is a false faith.
