According to an October 2015 Forbes article, millennials (ages 18-34) now hold one in every three American jobs. They are set to make up 50% of the global workforce by 2020 and 75% by 2025. In 2015 they number 75.4 million people. As a result, more and more businesses and companies are tailoring their training programs in order to meet them where they are and take them where they need to be.
But, what about us? Do we know how to best meet this novel and fascinating generation? Do we understand how they perceive the world? How can we best reach them with the gospel of Jesus Christ in a post-Christian society that is cynical to the claims of Scripture, mocks what is sacred, and values what is narcissistic? Did we even know that younger and older millennials are dissimilar in many ways? We even see those distinctions in our own church as we have 5 Community Groups that are either made up of Young Adults and College Students or are mix-generation!
