  • Trust and Obey
    Trust and Obey
    Pastor John Michael Barajas
    Proverbs 3:5-8
    5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
    and lean not on your own understanding;
    6 in all your ways submit to him,
    and he will make your paths straight.
    7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;
    fear the Lord and shun evil.
    8 This will bring health to your body
    and nourishment to your bones.
    1. Love and trust can be two different things with man.
    Jeremiah 17:5-8
    Trust and Faith are similar, but they are not mutually exclusive.
    Jeremiah 7:22&23
    22For when I brought your ancestors out of Egypt and spoke to them, I did not just give them commands about burnt offerings and sacrifices, 23 but I gave them this command: Obey me, and I will be your God and you will be my people. Walk in obedience to all I command you, that it may go well with you.
    2. Simple Obedience is the key to kingdom
    living.
    3. Complete Obedience is what God is seeking.
    You can disobey by not doing the right thing.
    James 4:17
    17 If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them. When God gives you an assignment or a job or
    something to take on...don’t compare yourself to everyone else...Because God is not going to judge someone else base upon what He
    told YOU to do.
    Partial obedience can cut your destiny short. and
    could cost you your destiny
    Obedience is better than sacrifice.
    1 Samuel 15:22
    4. Obedience builds trust -
    Everytime you obey God...it gets easier!

    but that the world through Him might be saved.” John 3:16 & 17

    remember the LORD your God, for it is He who is giving you power”
