              1. Live in harmony with others
              “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people” 1 Peter 2:9
              “If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men.” Romans 12:18
              “if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 18:19
              “Can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction?” Amos 3:3
              “Any kingdom divided by civil war is doomed.” Luke 11:17
              “one chase a thousand and two put ten thousand to flight.” Deuteronomy 32:30
              The goal of loving confrontation is restorative, not punitive.
              2. Live in harmony with heaven
              “whatever you bind [forbid, declare to be improper and unlawful] on earth shall have [already] been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose [permit, declare lawful] on earth shall have [already] been loosed in heaven.” Matthew 18:18
              “if the watchman sees the enemy coming and doesn’t sound the alarm to warn the people, he is responsible for their captivity....I will hold the watchman responsible for their deaths.” Ezekiel 33:6
              • Weakens people’s view of God
              • “you shall be holy; for I am holy.” Leviticus 11:44

                    “anyone who receives a little child like this on My behalf is receiving Me.” Matthew 18:5
                    “all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:35
                    2. Protect each other
                    “it would be better for you to have a heavy millstone hung around your neck, and to be drowned....Stumbling blocks are inevitable, but what sorrow awaits the person who causes the stumbling block.” Matthew 18:6 & 7
                    “Stumbling blocks” – the trigger of a trap
                    “Am I my brother’s keeper?” Genesis 4:9
                    “Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.” Hebrews 10:24
                    “If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off.... If your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out” Matthew 18:8 & 9
                    “stumble” – to place an impediment in the way upon which you may trip and fall Matthew 18: 6, 8, & 9

                    3. Value each other
                    “do not despise one of these little ones” Matthew 18:10
                    “despise” – think little of
                    “their angels in heaven continually see the face of My Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 18:10

                    “God will order His angels to protect you wherever you go.” Psalm 91:11

                    2. Live greatness = humility
                    “anyone who becomes as humble as this little child is the greatest.”

                     Live totally dependent on God
                    “confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that
