As children of the living God, we are privileged to have a relationship with the King of kings and Lord of lords. And yet, we grow bored with Christ, familiar, Mechanistic- When this occurs, it isn't long before it is reflected in our worship-

First, we remove it completely from the realm of Justification- when we do this, we understand -acceptable- and -well-pleasing- as extensions of God's condescending grace by which He has chosen to delight in the acts or attitudes of His children which come as the result of seeking to love, know, and serve the Lord-

When God's people returned to Jerusalem, they did so not because of anything they had don or would do, but because they were -the apple of His eye- -Zechariah 2-8- and so ones on whom God had set His love, favor, and blessing-

When Paul exhorts the Philippians to -rejoice,- he is calling on them to have the joy of the Lord pervade their lives-

As darkness turned to dawn that night so long ago, Zechariah received this eighth vision which spoke of the dawn of Christ's Messianic Kingdom in which God once and for all would be -at rest-, -at peace- with His sinning people- This brings us to the confirmation of God's promise.
