The Kingdom of God is built not by doing great things involving massive leaps forward, but by faithfully doing the necessary, small, even despised things- -cf. 1 Cor. 1-26-29-

From this we see that Zechariah is prophesying about the city in which we currently live as Christians and that which someday will come in its fullness- when the New Jerusalem comes down from heaven as a bride adorned for her husband -cf. Rev. 21-2, 11--

This is the position of every nation, people, or individual who oppose God by opposing or attacking His people- They just are not storing up judgment, but the gallows are being built, the fire is being stoked, the axe is being raised-

The report of peace and quiet was not true. God's people had been attacked and oppressed, and those perpetrating the violence were unrepentant and at ease-

God knew that for a significant portion of His people at this time, their efforts and concern were just a show- more religious duty which their Fallen Disposition would use to bolster themselves -cf. Jer. 7-9-10a- Joel 2-12-13a-

Kingdom affections or dispositons come as a result of God's redeeming grace.

When Paul relates to us The Message of Easter beginning with the lineage of Christ he not only is making a strong case for Jesus being a man, but he also is telling us that He is the Davidic King who would rule a Kingdom which will last forever-

When we speak of God's Lovingkindness we are saying that- God is a good, gracious, compassionate, and forgiving Being whose love toward each of us is never a sham, could never change, nor ever be thwarted -by you- the object of His love- or any other created thing-. The net result is a saving God who henceforth and forevermore will have your back and therefore One whom we can always trust and so rely upon-
