  • June 3, 2018 – Be Strong and of Good Courage
    Today Pastor Ben Kingston brings us an encouraging message from Joshua 1:1-9.
    “After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, it came to pass that the Lord spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ assistant, saying: “Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them—the children of Israel. Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses. From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the River Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your territory. No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. 6 Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

    Today our hosts Ben Kingston, Todd Walters, Tara Yerkey, and Gavin Hooks discuss these topics:

    • End of life issues ( prolonging life/assisted suicide)
    • Matthew 6:8-15 – “8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”

      • Small groups ministries within the church
      • Prayer in Matthew 6:5-7 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.”

      • May 6, 2018 – Advice to Graduates
        Today Pastor Ben Kingston brings us a message of wisdom for life from the words of Jesus found in Mark 12:28-31 focused on the Graduates this week.

        Mark 12:28-31: “And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.”

      • Bethel Radio Show – 5-2-2018 – Wisdom for Graduates, Matthew 6, Fathers

        Today our hosts Ben Kingston, Kathy Janes, Thomas Naes, and Todd Walters discuss these interesting topics:

        1. Wisdom for graduates, best advice to graduating seniors.
        2. Matthew 6:1-4 ” Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.”
        3. Fathers and their roles in their children’s lives

        5. April 29, 2018 – Making a Difference One Person At a Time
          Today Pastor Ben Kingston brings us encouraging us to make a difference in our world! James 5:19-20 “Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul[a] from death and cover a multitude of sins.” The Church was never meant to be relegated to these four walls. You and I are the tabernacle, the house of God.
          How can we make a difference?
          * Resist being a chameleon.
          * Resist being non-committal
          * Be sacrificial
          * Be encouraged
