Bethesda Christian Church Sermon of the Week

Dear Church - 01/27/19 by The weekly podcast of Bethesda Christian Church in Sterling Heights, MI

In his continued letter to the church, Pastor Pat shares with us the importance of baptism, and the external sign that it provides to the community and church, but more importantly, the inward manifestation it leads to within our heart through this step in our faith.

Pastor Pat continues his open letter to the Church, expounding on the notion that the local church is where citizenship in God’s Kingdom is validated and endorsed, pressing into us the importance of becoming integrated into our local church … as this is how we are able to affect the world, ultimately yielding great blessing.

In his first message of the year, Pastor Pat delivers a letter he personally wrote, calling us to think about how we view ourselves in the church, but more importantly, in God’s kingdom, asking us to be active in our faith every day of the week.

Pastor Pat gives us a checklist for keeping a ‘Clean House’ through Psalm 101 and King David’s plea for God. We are reminded to keep Jesus close to us … to be ready for his arrival every day as the His arrival is not just something we commemorate on Christmas, but everyday.

Pastor Julie delivers a beautiful Christmas Eve message, asking us if we, unlike the innkeeper, have room for Jesus in our home … and more importantly, is there room for Him in our hearts.
