Bethlehem Baptist Church, NZ

Throughout history, the Table and a meal continue to be where societies and cultures come together to enact community. It’s a place of inclusion, Love, Family and whanaungatanga in all its richness. Luke’s Gospel is full of Stories of Jesus at meals, challenging our contemporary understanding and value of Hospitality. At the centre of all of these is the Table. A place of Grace…. promise even Salvation.

We are excited about what God is currently doing in the life

of our church, and what He will do in the future. Our ministry

to the Tauranga community is one that God continues to

trust us with. Growth is a reward for trust. Trust that God has

placed in us as a community of people who take Jesus and

His mission seriously.

Impressed by the faithfulness of the Thessalonians in the face of persecution, Paul wrote to encourage the Christians in that community with the goal that they would continue to grow in godliness and be motivated by their hope in the ultimate return of Jesus Christ.

As we go through a life full of questions and uncertainties, Paul offers the hope of Christ’s return as an answer that provides us with comfort in the midst of questions and reminds us of the joy that is to come.

Jesus is the source of our true hope. Without him, it’s Hopeless.

The Psalter is a unique collection of praise and prayers that give a voice to the journey of faith. The writers creatively bring to life our inner feelings of lament…give words to our pain when they are lacking…and a song to our joy and hope. When our words are inadequate, the Psalms provide lyrics to the wandering pilgrim on their faith journey.

Join us as we explore some of the soul-enriching prayers and poems from this remarkable book.
