The Psalter is a unique collection of praise and prayers that give a voice to the journey of faith. The writers creatively bring to life our inner feelings of lament…give words to our pain when they are lacking…and a song to our joy and hope. When our words are inadequate, the Psalms provide lyrics to the wandering pilgrim on their faith journey.

Impressed by the faithfulness of the Thessalonians in the face of persecution, Paul wrote to encourage the Christians in that community with the goal that they would continue to grow in godliness and be motivated by their hope in the ultimate return of Jesus Christ.

As we go through a life full of questions and uncertainties, Paul offers the hope of Christ’s return as an answer that provides us with comfort in the midst of questions and reminds us of the joy that is to come.

Jesus is the source of our true hope. Without him, it’s Hopeless.

The resurrection of Jesus from his grave is the most vital and pivotal point of the whole gospel event. Without the resurrection we could have a saviour who died for our sins. But we wouldn’t have the same certainty without Jesus’ resurrection. The resurrection secures this divine transaction. Taking Jesus from paying the price of sin to overcoming sin and death by his defeat of the grave.

The apostle Paul knew that the resurrection was critical. He wrote strongly to those in Corinth who disputed that the resurrection took place.

Isn’t it amazing that the creator of the universe would choose to interact with us?

We are broken, but He chooses to use us, chooses to transform us – so that we may bring Him glory!

With extended music, communion and creative elements, this will be a time to sing, dance, reflect and respond to our incredible Creator – to glorify His name and worship Him unashamedly.

Join us as we reflect this Palm Sunday on who Jesus is in our lives.
