Jesus tells us that the mustard seed "is the smallest of all the seeds on earth, yet when it is sown it grows up and becomes larger than all the garden plants and puts out large branches, so that the birds of the air can make nests in its shade" (Mark 4:31-32). Jesus wants to spark the imagination of His listeners. Almighty God is infinite and creative. God loves to see life thrive and grow. God’s Kingdom is a place where small things are significant. Jesus’ story is about all this and more. We celebrate all the wondrous ways God can care and nurture us today and forever.

God has revealed Himself to us as one God in three different ways.  We rejoice in this mystery of God and in all the blessings that He provides to us. In the sacred name of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit we celebrate God in infinite and eternal ways.

In the Creed we call the Holy Spirit "the Lord and giver of life." On the day of Pentecost the Spirit was both given to the apostles and, through them by Baptism, to 3,000 people. Today we remember that day and thank God for the gift of the Spirit, who brings the life- giving eternal things of God into our lives

Jesus’ ascension means His victory is complete and total. He who was crucified, died, and risen, now takes His triumph with Him to sit at God's right hand in power and majesty. He is crowned in glory now and forever.

Over forty days Jesus made a lasting impression on those blessed to see him in his resurrected glory. In this Easter season we marvel at the history Jesus made, and the eternally timeless nature of God’s Triumphant Living Son. Blessed by His Spirit today, we already celebrate forever in his presence.

The momentum of Jesus’ Resurrection victory continues to unfold even now. The Son of the living God has triumphed over all things. A new creation is before us in the resurrection of the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, our Lord!

Jesus tells us that our Good Father will care for us like a shepherd for his sheep. Jesus makes it even more personal, telling us he is our Good Shepherd. He pledges His abundant and eternal care to you. This changes everything! Risen and victorious Jesus leads us beside quiet waters, he restores the soul.

Jesus, risen and triumphant, begins a new day. He comes to his disciples on the shore of the lake and makes them breakfast. This was just the beginning of Jesus making all things new. In this new and eternal day the angels will cheer and “every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them will say “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, forever and ever!”

When warriors return from battle they have the scars of battle to help tell the story of how the victory was won. Jesus will have His scars from the crucifixion forever. Even in his resurrected glory he could still show Thomas that His was the same flesh and blood that had been on the cross and then had risen in triumph.

Christ is risen! Jesus didn’t keep His resurrection a secret. He appeared to Mary, to Peter and the apostles, to His brother James, to more than five hundred people, to the disciples on the road to Emmaus, and lastly to the apostle Paul. Jesus had said that he would rise from the dead. But still, what a surprise and amazing joy when it actually happened. Today we celebrate Jesus’ resurrection. We celebrate with those who saw Jesus alive again and wanted to tell everyone that Jesus is risen.
