Chris and Jay are back with Episode 73. The Pod is nearly derailed today by a domestic emergency, but never fear we manage to squeeze all of the normal shenanigans in. We talk Johnny “the Walking Dead” Walkers recent MMA lost, we discuss the subtle art of keeping the hair fresh during a UFC main event and we catch up on all the latest BJJ news from ZR MK. Hoping for something outside of the normal combat sports chatter? Never fear, Chris gives us the lowdown on his proud man moment, Jay updates us on his trip to the Philippines and we learn the different between a HALO and HAHO jump. A real mixed bag right? Correct, and guess what, it’s still Better Than Average.

Chris and Jay are back with Episode 72. It’s a day later then normal but it’s well worth it. There is plenty of interesting conversation on the agenda this week. We talk Starmer vs Sunak 1, we discuss the Royal Navy and Jay gives us an update on BJJ Allstars. I know what you are thinking, we don’t do politics. You’d be right, if you are expecting a detailed debate on policy, you are in the wrong place. If you want an angry rant about the quality of our leaders then this is the one. Either way there is plenty of laughs, football, TV and family life all feature strongly this week and naturally the result is Better Than Average.

Ladies and gents, this is episode 71. So much to unleash this week. We review Kade’s recent MMA debut, we get the lowdown on Jays appearance at Empire Grappling and we discuss Mikey’s impressive finish and less then impressive interview. This week is a lot of fun, the best ever? Probably not, but it’s Better Than Average.

Welcome to Episode 70! This weeks episode has all the makings of a classic Chris and Jay adventure. As well as all the normal Jiujitsu chat, we do talk UFC 302, we discuss the sinking of the Titanic and Jay gives a very special shout out to his friends in the east. It’s a wild one, violent segways, partially completed thoughts and controversial statements, everything you would expect from a “bjj”podcast that prides itself in its raw and unedited nature. Let’s hope this one doesn’t get us into trouble. After all, it is as advertised, nothing ground breaking, but still Better Than Average.

69 Dude! Obviously 69 is a special one and it’s not going to disappoint. It’s a little frantic today, Chris and Jay are on Daddy Daycare and Jay manages to drop the Podtrak not once but twice. I know, you’d expect more from a 4 stripe white belt podcast. Don’t worry, the audio might not be perfect this week but the result is something raw and beautiful. So what’s it all about? We talk ADCC vs the Craig Jones Invitational, we talk chocolatiers and British comedy and we catch up with Uncle Jays plans to hit the mighty US of A. It’s messy but it’s worth it and what’s more, it’s always Better Than Average.

This is the episode where we Chris and Jay really open up and talk Jiujitsu’s favourite topic, conspiracies… Disclaimer, Chris and Jay aren’t big conspiracy guys, well at least we weren’t at the beginning, but they pop the tin foil hats on and open there minds to some of the more interesting ideas floating around out there. Not really your thing? That’s ok, there’s a lot of laughs this week and all the normal BJJ chat on top. Are Chris and Jay the best people to Introduce you to this topic? No, not the best but surely Better Than Average.

Ladies and Gentleman, welcome to episode 67. This week Jay is on top form, we talk who’s number one, we talk handling and we talk Christmas movies… I know, that wasn’t what we discussed but when you record everything live and refuse to edit, shit happens, guess what ‘authenticity has a price’. Today that price was in the somewhat fragmented nature of the pod. We had a lot of fun recording this, hope you appreciate it, It’s not our best or most organised version but it Better Than Average.

Chris and Jay deliver another express podcast but have no fear, episode 66 still has a lot crammed. Chris shares a confession regarding the Star Wars franchise, Jay gives in to the EV revolution and we briefly look forward one of grapplings exciting match ups. This one is very raw, it gets wild even, but that’s no surprise. We’ve come to expect a little carnage, so let’s get it done. Execute Order 66, its going to be Better Than Average.
