There are times in every life when it feels like the universe is throwing every curveball your way.
Challenges pile on top of each other and you find yourself feeling emotionally drained and physically exhausted.
These are the times when you typically ask, "How much more can I take?"
But what if that's the wrong question?
What if there was a question you could ask that would give you more options, relieve some of your pain and help you move forward in life?
In this episode, I'll tell you what that question is and how, by switching out these two questions, you can change your life from one of exhausting challenges to one of managing difficult times with a full chest of tools to support you.

One of the biggest pitfalls we come across when working on changing our mindset to support our wellness and happiness is the false expectation that our brain will suddenly change.
Once you decide to let go of fear adopt healthier habits, release anger, or make any other change in your life, it's likely that your brain will fight you all along the way.
Expecting anything different can result in a lot of frustration.
Worse yet, when your brain and thoughts don't suddenly change on their own you can end up, giving up on what you want for your life.
The good news is, that things don't have to go that way.
In this episode, I'll help you understand how to accept the way your brain works, stop fighting it, and make an intentional choice to stop letting your thoughts lead you to places you don't want to go.

There are times when life feels like a grind.
You hear sad things; the fridge breaks down at the same time as the washing machine.
You get a breast cancer diagnosis when you're planning a dream trip.
You save some money and then get an unexpected bill for that amount.
This is the thing, there's good and bad every day, all the time in life.
I remember a mentor of mine asking me one time, "Will you focus on the 5-10% of someone's personality you don't like or the 90-95% of the good things they have to offer?"
The same goes for life.
Will you see the gift in it while you process the challenges, or will you focus on the challenges and miss the beauty of the gifts?
In this episode, we'll dig into the gift of life with a real perspective that includes sadness and loss.
Then I'll leave you with an exercise in seeing the gifts in your life and the gift you are to others.

When you think of creating or attracting good things in life, one of the first steps to living the reality you want is to notice the reality you're creating now.
The stories we tell ourselves often feel true and unchangeable.
Especially when you get caught up in all the things without taking time to examine your role in the life you're living.
I recently came across a quote by Einstein that got me thinking about the reality of what our energy attracts to our lives.
I'm not referring to drawing cancer to yourself, but the life you live while you're managing or recovering from cancer.
In this episode, I'll share some important steps you need to take when you're figuring out how to create the life you want to live.

Negative emotions are a fascinating thing. They feel awful, most of the time., and yet we often cling to them with all the energy we can muster. We feel justified in having them, we're indignant about not having them, and we focus on telling other people about them.
The good news is that none of the above are true. At least not if you actually want to feel better.
If you answer yes to that question, stop yourself before the but and know this:
It's ok and natural to feel negative emotions.
Let yourself go through them.
But if you want to feel better, you have to also commit to being willing to let them go.
That might be a little scary because who will you be if you're not angry, sad, or in fear?
Listen in to this week's episode and let's talk about it.

The greatest thing about achieving a goal is realizing who you had to become to get there.
This week as I celebrate releasing the 200th episode of the Breast Cancer Recovery Coach podcast, I reflect on how much I, my business, and this community have evolved.
In this episode, I'll share the most important things I've learned as I've navigated breast cancer, built a business, and become the coach and the person I am today.
Maybe, more importantly, I've come to embrace the knowledge that life is in a constant flow, and we are always living in transformation.
When we step into the field of transformation and allow ourselves to be in the evolution of life, we open ourselves to growth and drop the burden of resistance.
Join me in this episode as step into the field of transformation and celebrate this landmark episode.

I talk a big talk about self-care which is way more than a bubble bath and a facial.
I also say everything is exactly as it should be and that when we can make peace with that, we create peace in ourselves.
Those two things came together in a big way for me today as I focus on healing from covid and come to terms with the facts that I have no voice, and I have no energy to create and produce a podcast.
So, I reached out to my support system for help.
I wrote something to explain why there would be no podcast today, but when I reached out to my sister to ask for her help in recording my message, I was inspired by a better idea…why not let her run with the podcast today?
I thought that as a part of my 11-year survivorship celebration, it would be good to hear the perspective of a loved one who's seen me go through two diagnoses and now watches me live with cancer.
I think Kristie's perspective will be insightful for you to hear and inspiring and compassionate for your loved ones to listen to.
We're all in this together and the more we can allow ourselves to connect and drop all the shields, the fuller our lives become.
Listen and enjoy this beautiful perspective on living your life while loving someone who had or has cancer.

I want to share a story with you, there was a woman who had to go to a big event. The event was going to be spectacular. Amazing food, great music, beautiful new outfits, and everyone she loved would be there but there was also this one person…the ONE person she could not stand!
So, the woman dreaded the event. She put all her thoughts into the horror of seeing the person she had a toxic history with. She felt sick to her stomach and whenever the event was mentioned all she could think of was that ONE person.
The more she thought about it, the more often her brain took her attention there.
She was so deep in dread that she couldn't begin to get excited about all the wonder that would be a part of that night.
That's the kind of thing our human brains do to us if we let them run on auto pilot.
I bet you've experienced some version of this in your life.
I know I have.
In this episode, I'll tell you more about the impact that dread has on your health, your relationships, and your joy and what you can do to reign in your mind and redirect your attention so you can have better experiences whenever you choose to.

Here's an interesting thing to consider:
We plan for birthday parties, weddings, anniversaries, camping trips, and what we're going to wear to work or have for dinner, but when was the last time you planned for life?
Way too often we allow ourselves to be in the random acts and unprocessed emotions of life.
This can lead to feeling, hopeless, powerless, and having no future vision for your life.
The end result…Failure to thrive.
In this episode, I'll tell you some of the things I hear from survivors in their struggle to engage in life during, after, and long after treatment and how those thoughts limit the potential of their future.
I'll also offer you a simple action you can take to start changing the thoughts you have about your future so you can be inspired and motivated to create the life you want.
