  • Season 1: Ep 95 Lake Tahoe's Growing Us vs Them Mentality
The article today that references a travel guide discouraging travel to Lake Tahoe upon the blessing of an early November ski season and communities still recovering from pandemic losses reveals a deeper agenda by residents of the basin. They sight traffic and pollution when providing reliable and frequent bus and jitney service to South Tahoe, the area that gleans 90% or higher of the tourist population from Amtrak stations in Truckee and Reno and Flix bus drop offs that could easily connect to South Tahoe still haven't been implemented. Environmental issues or exclusion by the locals who forget it's shared territory? With a solution = public transportation.

  • Season 1: Ep 94 Preliminary Election Results for CA & SF
The preliminary results are in! Though the deadline is before December 8th for all votes to be counted. I review the day's standings on all CA and SF Propositions and winners of elected offices. Definitely the City of SF has a chronically poor voter turnout rate of 30%. We need to fund research to identify barriers to reach the remaining 70% who aren't voting. Perhaps an app that will go over each proposition pro and con in any language translation both written and audio. It's an embarrassing situation to be touted a political city but not have the data reflect that in voter turnout.

  • Season 1: Ep 89 - CA Propositions 1, 26-31 defined, examined and evaluated by me. Navigating it all.
It's getting close to November 8th, CA's General Election Day and while some propositions seem straightforward in their writing, others are very convoluted. I break down each one. I'm surprising myself by voting no on prop 1 even though I'm pro-choice because of the lack of specificity in the language on when the cells indeed become an independent person that needs protection by the government. Listen to my arguments and reflect on what you believe.

  • Season 1: Ep 88 Commentary: Clarifying Lindsay's Abortion Code, Joe Biden 2024, Migrants.
My commentary on top news stories. Lindsay Graham attempts to reflect the majority of the Democratic Party values on abortion in his proposal: No abortions after nearly 4 months gestation except in cases of rape, incest or medical need. Most Democrats do not support 100% choice from conception to 9 months for a woman to abort. At some point the clump of cells that initially is the woman's property becomes a person. A person with a mind, a heart and a soul for those who believe in souls. A person whom the government then needs to protect. The question is "at what point in the pregnancy?" Nearly four months is reasonable to most. It needs bipartisan rebranding with the words total and ban removed. Joe announces his 2024 run. The Migrants and a new pathway to citizenship by working the jobs that Americans won't do - picking crops, trucking, etc. 4 million job vacancies the Migrants can help fill, keep their dignity, earn their keep and help the economy. Support for their families and a federal program designed to pave this unique pathway to citizenship through hard work.
