It's getting close to November 8th, CA's General Election Day and while some propositions seem straightforward in their writing, others are very convoluted. I break down each one. I'm surprising myself by voting no on prop 1 even though I'm pro-choice because of the lack of specificity in the language on when the cells indeed become an independent person that needs protection by the government. Most Democrats do not support 100% choice from conception to 9 months for a woman to abort. At some point the clump of cells that initially is the woman's property becomes a person. A person with a mind, a heart and a soul for those who believe in souls. A person whom the government then needs to protect. The question is "at what point in the pregnancy?"
