TVC 565.1: TV Confidential celebrates the life and career of Betty White with a special program-length tribute to the legendary actress who was not only The First Lady of Television, but one of the very first television stars, period, having appeared on one of the very first experimental television broadcasts in 1939, then also hosting one of the first TV talk shows, Hollywood on Television, in 1949. Betty White passed away on Friday, Dec. 31, at age ninety-nine, just a few days shy of what would have been her 100th birthday.
