Auburn vs. Texas A&M is the lone game this weekend between ranked teams. The Aggies, who pulled off the upset over Alabama earlier this season, are still behind Auburn in the SEC West. A win over the Tigers will give them the advantage, and all they would need after that is a Mississippi State and Alabama loss. Sounds so simple right? This one has big implications going forward, and the West could be in chaos by Sunday.

Five losses in their last six games are not what the TCU Horned Frogs envisioned their season looking like. But that is the hand they have been dealt. They have a big matchup with the 14th ranked Baylor Bears. The Bears have won three straight games, two coming against Texas and a ranked BYU team. More bad news for the Horned Frogs as their starting quarterback, Max Duggan left last week’s game with a fractured foot and he will be out for this one. Taking his place is RS Freshman Chandler Morris. Morris transferred to TCU from Oklahoma. Last week he threw for 111 yards on 9-14 passes.

Backup quarterbacks were all the rage in Week 8. Yes, you heard that right. Mike White stepped into the starter’s role with rookie Zach Wilson being sidelined with an injury. White didn’t just fill a spot, he put on one of the greatest performances from a backup quarterback in a long time. He threw for 405 yards and 3 touchdowns and the Jets pulled off a massive upset over the Bengals.
