"I mean, let’s be real here. I am nothing if not real about my cancer journey. It is hard. It has been terrible. But it has brought surprising things and wonderful people into my life and forever changed the person that I am . . . for the better."

How do you move forward after experiencing trauma? What is it like to deal with massive side effects from meds which are supposed to help save your life? How do you support your young child as you are going though cancer treatment? How do you find the good out of a bad situation? And what’s wrong with pink?

Using her two diagnoses of breast cancer, Michelle shares what she learned along the way. In each chapter, she details a part of her story and the lesson it taught her. An “over sharer” is how Michelle describes herself; in this book, she bares it all, the good, the bad and the painful. From the many changes in her body, how much marijuana is too much and what cancer can do to a relationship.

You do not have to have been diagnosed with breast cancer to appreciate this book; Michelle’s goal is to inspire anyone who has gone through difficult situations. With chapter headings such as: Control is a Big Fat Lie, An Oxygen Mask is a Necessity and Magic Can Be Found in the Most Unlikely of Places, Michelle weaves the nitty gritty of breast cancer into relatable segments about how it has actually improved her life, gave her a new career path and a life full of amazing humans who fill her soul.

Michelle truly believes that the best view comes after the hardest climb.
