In this episode of “Between the Js,” Dr. Josh Boyd, band director at Newnan High School, joins Jacqui and Joy to talk about the band program and the role the community played in helping ensure the program would carry on after the devastating tornado of 2021 upended the band room and the student's instruments. 

The Coweta County Board of Education recently recognized Dr. Boyd for being selected 2022 Music Educator of the Year at the Georgia Music Educators Association annual conference. Dr. Boyd was honored as an exemplary music educator with significant career accomplishments, as well as a leader in his school, community and state.
