Unseasonably cold weather has slowed down the growing season. The team covers disease models and spray timing in a frost year. Also, a frost damage assessment has been complicated by partially damaged shoots in some areas. Secondary buds are well underway where frost damage was severe.

High commodity prices, input costs, and grape prices influence the management of vineyards and damaged vineyards. Stay the course and assess damage for now. With elevated grapes prices an accurate damage assessment is essential before changing any management practices.
